When you apply to become a support worker at Swift Aid, we ask that you provide your resume to showcase your qualifications and experience.

    Valid Victorian Driver Licence

This is required for support workers who may need to drive as part of their duties, such as transporting participants to appointments or activities. It ensures that support workers have the necessary legal authorization and skills to operate a vehicle safely.

    Valid NDIS Worker Screening

The NDIS Worker Screening is a mandatory requirement to ensure the safety and well-being of NDIS participants. It involves rigorous background checks to assess a support worker’s suitability to work with vulnerable individuals. This screening helps to prevent individuals with a history of misconduct or criminal behavior from working in the disability sector.

Valid Work With Children Check (WWCC)

This check is essential for support workers who may come into contact with children or young people during their work. It verifies that the support worker has undergone a background check to ensure they are suitable to work with children and do not pose any risk to their safety or well-being.

    Valid National Police Check

A National Police Check is crucial to assess a support worker’s criminal history and ensure they do not have any relevant convictions that could compromise the safety of participants. It helps to maintain a safe environment for both support workers and participants by identifying any potential risks.

    Valid First Aid Certificate

Having a valid First Aid Certificate is essential for support workers to be able to respond effectively to medical emergencies or injuries that may occur while providing support to participants. It ensures that support workers have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide immediate assistance and potentially save lives in critical situations.

Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support

This qualification is a minimum requirement to ensure that support workers have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide quality care and support to individuals in need. It covers essential topics such as communication, personal care, safety procedures, and understanding the needs of diverse individuals. Having this qualification demonstrates a support worker’s competency and readiness to fulfill their role effectively.
